Meet your therapist

I'm so glad you're here.

My name is Brittany Kaaiakamanu and I am a licensed therapist with a holistic approach, specializing in trauma. I am passionate about helping people improve their mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing.

I strive to help individuals become the best versions of themselves by reclaiming connection to their own intuition. I help my clients learn how to regulate their nervous system, improve self-worth, implement healthy lifestyle changes, identify and transcend negative behavior patterns, and gain understanding and power over their thoughts and actions.

I use evidence-based therapy approaches that have been proven to be effective, and I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs and goals of each client. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and I work closely with my clients to help them gain a deeper understanding of themselves and develop the tools they need to thrive.

I specialize in trauma and somatic therapies, I’m trained in EMDR and Compassionate Inquiry with internationally renowned trauma specialist Dr. Gabor Maté. I am certified in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) and I’m a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional. These enhanced clinical skills allow me to facilitate behavior and lifestyle changes that will have a lasting impact on client's overall wellbeing.

My Approach

Step 1: Assessment and Goal Setting

During our first session, we will spend time getting to know each other and discussing your reasons for seeking therapy. I'll ask questions about your current challenges, past experiences, and personal goals to help me understand your unique needs and develop a treatment plan that is tailored to your specific needs and goals.

Step 2: Developing a Plan

Based on the information gathered during our initial session, we will work together to develop a plan that outlines our therapy goals, the frequency of our sessions, and the types of techniques and interventions that we will use. I'll also make sure to provide you with an overview of the therapy process, so you know what to expect in our sessions.

Step 3: Therapy Sessions

In our therapy sessions, we will work together to identify patterns of behavior and thought that may be causing or contributing to your challenges. We'll also explore your feelings and emotions in a supportive and non-judgmental environment. I'll use a variety of evidence-based techniques to help you build skills and strategies to cope with your challenges and achieve your goals.

Step 4: Regular Review and Feedback

Throughout our sessions, we will regularly review and evaluate our progress towards your goals. This will allow us to adjust our plan as needed and ensure that you are getting the most out of our therapy sessions. I also welcome feedback from my clients, as this helps me tailor my approach to better meet your needs and preferences.
